ABOUT ME
Hello my friends!
I'm Matt Weinstein (he/they). I'm a dedicated gluten free cook and content creator based out of NYC. I was diagnosed with Celiac back in Fall 2014. I work primarily in recipe development while spreading awareness, combating myths, and questioning disparities around Celiac Disease and the folx living with it. My curiosity pushes my creativity, and my creativity pushes my ambitions to demand more for the gluten free community. I'm unapologetically Queer, Jewish, and Celiac!
I am the creator and host of the Gluten Free Town Hall virtual series on Instagram, as well as a fellow in the Nosher Jewish Food inaugural cohort.
My love for food came in my teen years from watching Ina Garten on the television, and learning hands-on with my mom. I watched her spearhead Jewish holidays seamlessly year after year. From the moment she taught me how to smash and chop garlic with a chef’s knife, I was hooked. I went from helping her cook dinners to making them entirely on my own. She championed my creativity, and even bit her tongue when she saw how many sticks of butter I put in my mashed potatoes. She is very much the reason Glass of Weinstein was born, so thank you mom!
I currently live in Manhattan where I cook, eat, and recipe test. I want to taste and try everything. Thank you for joining me on this journey. Now…
Grab a Glass of Weinstein, and let’s get cooking!
