Pizza Crust

Feat. Bob’s Red Mill

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups Bob’s Red Mill Gluten Free All Purpose Baking Flour

  • 2 tsp xanthan gum

  • 1 tsp kosher salt

  • ¾ cup warm water

  • 2 ¼ tsp dry active yeast

  • 1 Tbsp granulated sugar

  • 2 Tbsp olive oil

  • Tomato sauce (your preference!)

  • Mozzarella cheese

  • Seasonings of choice

In a large bowl, combine the xanthan gum, kosher salt and Bob’s Red Mill Gluten Free All Purpose Baking Flour. In a separate measuring cup, combine the yeast and sugar into the warm water. Make sure the water isn’t too hot. Let the yeast bloom for a minimum of five minutes. Combine the olive oil into the wet mixture, mix together, and pour into the dry ingredients. Combine until a dough is formed. It will be sticky at first, but will come together. Drizzle with additional olive oil if desired, and let rest (covered) for at least one hour.

Preheat the oven to 500. Preheat the pizza pan or stone for several minutes. Using additional flour and oil as needed, roll out the dough to your desired thickness and width. The dough should be nicely pliable. Using your hands, hold one palm to the edge of the crust and use the fingertips on the other hand to press the dough out and upward to form a crust.

Pull the preheated pizza pan/stone out of the oven and carefully place the formed crust. Par-bake for five minutes. Take the crust out and top to your liking. Finish baking for 8-to-10 additional minutes, and broil if desired for an extra bubbly top.

Cut, serve warm, and enjoy!
